This rich heather gray Kīpahulu T-Shirt is found only here and at the park visitor center in lush, deeply green Kīpahulu valley in Haleakalā National Park. On the back of this shirt, the Kïpahulu valley channels restless Palikea stream, which rushes alongside Hawaiian cultural sites such as kalo (taro) terraces. These were once flooded to grow this water-loving staple plant honored by Hawaiians as their primary ancestor. An elegant kapa (bamboo stamp) print runs down the left side of the front of this shirt.
Established in 1916, Haleakalā National Park protects, manages, and interprets the unique natural and cultural resources found within its 33,265 acres for the education, experience and inspiration of all peoples and future generations.
